Precision mechanical components are second nature to ARC. We innovate, design and precision-machine a variety of materials for the our own internal tooling, as well as to the detailed specifications provided by our customers for their projects.
We are especially adept at the precision surface grinding of typically difficult materials such as all of the technical ceramics, quartz, Al2O3, AlTiC and many other materials.

Arc offers the following precision cutting & grinding capabilities:
- Process substrates up to 200 mm (7.9 in) diameter
- Cutting depth between 1 µm - 50 mm (0.12 mil - 2 in) thick
- Cuts as small as 20 µm (0.8 mil) wide
- Perform trenching with variations in depth to < 3 µm (0.12 mil) over a 200 mm (7.9 in) cut
- Single pitch 0.5µm over 50 mm (0.02 mils over 2 in), cumulative pitch accuracy of 1.5 µm over 160 mm (0.06 mils over 6.3 in)
- Standard entry cuts and plunge cuts
- Arc specializes in other ceramic processes such as backlapping, thinning, lapping and polishing
Additional services include slotting, singulating, angling, machining grooves, and cutting through layered assemblies, sapphire, and glass.
